  • Understand how mechanics, electronics, and coding work together
  • Learn the difference between inputs and outputs (sensors & motors)
  • Develop logical sequencing and structured problem-solving

School incursion FAQ

Common questions from schools planning a robotics and coding incursion.

Which year levels are your incursions best for?
Most schools book ThinkerLab incursions for primary students (commonly Years 2–6). We can tailor challenge level to suit your cohort.
Is it curriculum-aligned?
Yes. Our sessions can support Digital Technologies outcomes and broader STEM capabilities through hands-on robotics and coding.
Do teachers need to prepare anything?
No. We deliver fully facilitated sessions and bring the required equipment. We’ll confirm the schedule, group setup and space needs beforehand.
What space and setup do you need?
A classroom, library or hall with tables and chairs works well, plus access to power. We can adapt to your space and timetable.
Do students need devices?
Not always. We bring the technology required for most formats. If a school-based device setup is needed, we’ll confirm what’s required before the day.
Do you have WWCC and school-required compliance?
Yes. Our educators are WWCC-cleared and experienced delivering school-based programs.
Do you travel across Melbourne and Victoria?
Yes. We service schools across Melbourne, and we can discuss regional options depending on dates and logistics.
How do we get a quote or book an incursion?
Use the enquiry form on this page or contact us with your school name, preferred dates, year levels and student numbers.
