Term class FAQ

The questions Melbourne parents ask most before enrolling — pricing, ages, experience and what happens each week.

How much do term classes cost and what’s included?
The 8-week term program is $350 per term — that works out to $39.99 per class. It includes all weekly sessions, every robot and piece of equipment your child uses in class, a quality STEM kit to keep building at home, a Certificate of Achievement, and a final showcase presentation that parents are invited to.
Should my child choose Robotics or Game Design?
There’s no wrong pick — both classes build the same core skills: coding, logic and step-by-step problem-solving. If your child loves playing video games, choose Game Design (Wednesdays), where they design and code their own playable game in MakeCode Arcade. If they love machines and seeing things move in the real world, choose Robotics (Tuesdays), where they code and command real robots. Still unsure? Book a $10 trial of each — they run back-to-back on the same Saturday — and let your child decide.
What ages are term classes suitable for?
Our programs cover ages 6–14, grouped by skill level rather than strictly by age. Beginners start with visual coding (Scratch) and simple robotics, then progress to Python and advanced robotics, and on to web development and competition robotics. When you enrol, we place your child where they’ll be challenged but never overwhelmed.
Does my child need any coding or robotics experience to join?
No. Most of our students start with zero experience. The program is structured step by step, and with a maximum of 15 students per instructor, every child gets the support they need to keep up and the stretch challenges to race ahead.
How long are the classes and how often do they run?
Classes run once a week for 1 hour, over an 8-week term aligned with the Victorian school term. That makes scheduling easy around school, sport and family life.
What will my child actually learn over the term?
Depending on their level: programming fundamentals (loops, logic, events), robotics engineering with sensors and motors, problem-solving and debugging, plus teamwork and presentation skills. Every week is hands-on building and coding — not worksheets — and the term ends with kids presenting a real project they built themselves.
What happens if we miss a week?
Life happens — just let us know. Contact us at [email protected] or 0426 693 283 and we’ll help your child catch up so they don’t fall behind the group.
Can we try a class before committing to the full term?
Yes — and we recommend it. Book a trial class first to see our teaching style and make sure your child loves it. Most families enrol in the term program straight after the trial.
Where do classes run?
We run classes in Melbourne’s west, including Caroline Springs and Melton, with school holiday workshops at additional venues. Check the booking page for current locations and times, or call us on 0426 693 283.
What is your refund policy?
We keep refunds and transfers simple. If something changes, contact us as early as you can and we’ll arrange a transfer to a later term or work out the right solution with you.
