My daughters had a great time in the robotics class during the holidays and definitely can’t wait to start weekly classes during the term soon. They loved getting all the hands on experience and seeing their robots come to life. Thank you for this wonderful course!

Two of my kiddos did the Young Makers workshop, ages 5-14 years. My kiddos really enjoyed their class and said the teacher really took her time to answer questions and help everyone individually. They really enjoyed the hands on building alongside doing coding. They both learned a lot today.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for schools, OSHC coordinators and parents exploring our robotics and coding sessions.

What ages and year levels do incursions suit?
Sessions are designed for ages 6–14 and work well with mixed-age groups from Prep to Year 6. Children work in pairs, so younger students are supported throughout.
How much does an incursion cost?
Prices are flat — from $450 + GST for up to 30 students, which works out to around $15 per child for a fully staffed session with all equipment supplied. We issue a formal quote and tax invoice suitable for your service’s purchase order or approval process.
What do we need to provide on the day?
Just a room with tables and chairs and a standard power point. We bring the robots, iPads, race track and everything else — and we handle setup and pack-down.
Are your staff WWCC cleared and insured?
Yes. Every session is led by qualified STEM educators with Working With Children Checks, and ThinkerLab holds public liability insurance. Compliance documents are available on request.
Do the kids need any coding or robotics experience?
No. Sessions start from clear fundamentals, and activities are differentiated — beginners build confidence while advanced students get extension challenges.
Which areas do you travel to?
We run incursions at schools, OSHC and vacation care services across Melbourne. Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we’ll confirm availability.
How do we book a session?
Send an enquiry with your preferred session and dates, and we’ll reply with a formal quote. Once approved, we confirm the date and you’re done — we handle the rest.
Do you also run programs for families?
Yes — alongside school incursions we run term classes, $10 trial classes, holiday workshops and birthday parties for kids aged 6–14 across Melbourne.
