Built for OSHC

An Incursion That Doesn't Add to Your Workload

You're juggling rosters, ratios and a hall full of kids. We've designed our incursions so the only thing you organise is the booking.

Zero prep for your team

We bring every robot, iPad, race track and activity booklet. Your educators supervise — we run the session end to end.

Setup and pack-down handled

We arrive before your session to set up and pack everything away afterwards. You need an indoor space with tables, chairs and a power point.

Built for mixed-age groups

Children work in pairs, so Prep to Year 6 groups work well together. Beginners get step-by-step support; confident kids get extension challenges.

Calm, structured delivery

Led by a qualified STEM educator with experience in OSHC, library and community settings. High energy without the chaos.

Paperwork sorted up front

WWCC, public liability insurance certificate, risk assessment and our child safety policy — the full compliance pack is available on request before you book.

Simple, GST-inclusive pricing

Flat session prices with no hidden costs, and a tax invoice that suits your service’s purchase order or approval process.

$599incl. GST · 90 minutes · up to 30 kids

I built my own bot and raced it with my friends!

A high-energy, screen-free session where kids get hands-on with real robotics — no tablets, no passive watching. Using Yahboom Lego-style kits, they build a custom rover from scratch, learn how robots sense and move, then race their creations on a track they help design.

  • Discover what robots are and where they’re used in the real world
  • Learn the parts of a robot and how they work together
  • Build a custom rover using Yahboom Lego-style kits
  • Apply real engineering principles — not just following instructions
  • Race their bot in a friendly team competition
  • Take home an activity booklet and explorer sticker

No prior experience needed. Kids work in pairs. Led by a qualified STEM educator and assistant (both WWCC cleared). All equipment supplied.

  • Learn block coding with real VinciBot robots — sensors, logic, movement
  • Work through screen-based and hands-on unplugged activities
  • Build real coding logic step by step
  • Compete in the Hack the Track team relay on the ThinkerLab track
  • Take home an activity booklet and explorer sticker

Quick Guide

Not Sure Which Session to Choose?

Young Makers — Build & Race

For kids who love getting their hands on real hardware. They'll assemble their own rover from scratch, learn how each part works, and race what they've built. No screens, no code — just building, problem-solving and engineering pride.

Hack the Track — Masterclass

For kids ready to take an existing robot and make it do exactly what they want. They'll write real block code to control movement, activate sensors and compete in a programmed challenge. Less building, more “I made it do that.”

Want the most memorable option for a STEM day or end-of-term celebration? Choose the extended Innovator Masterclass — or tell us about your group and we'll recommend one.

OSHC incursion FAQ

The operational details coordinators ask about most.

How many children can take part?
Up to 30 children per session. For larger services we can run back-to-back sessions on the same day so every group gets the full experience.
What ages is it suitable for?
Sessions are designed for ages 6–14 and work well with mixed-age OSHC groups from Prep to Year 6. Children work in pairs, so younger Preps are supported throughout.
What do we need to provide?
An indoor space with tables, chairs and access to a power point. We bring everything else — robots, iPads, the race track and activity booklets.
How long does setup take?
We arrive before your session starts and handle all setup and pack-down. There is nothing for your educators to prepare.
Do you have WWCC, insurance and risk assessments?
Yes. All facilitators hold a current Victorian WWCC, we carry public liability insurance, and a program-specific risk assessment is completed for every incursion. We also have a documented child safety policy aligned with the Victorian Child Safe Standards. The full compliance documentation pack is available on request before you book.
Can children with additional needs participate?
Yes. Sessions are structured and calm, children work in pairs, and activities are differentiated for mixed abilities. Tell us about your group when booking and we will adapt the session.
Do children need any prior experience?
No. Every session is designed for complete beginners, with extension challenges ready for kids who race ahead.
How does payment work?
Prices are flat and GST-inclusive — from $599 for up to 30 children, which works out to under $20 per child for a fully staffed session with all equipment supplied. We issue a formal quote and tax invoice suitable for your service’s purchase order or approval process.
Where do you travel?
We deliver incursions Melbourne-wide. Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we will confirm availability for your dates.
Can you run more than one session in a day?
Yes. Many services book two sessions back-to-back to cover larger groups or split younger and older children.
