About this workshop

The perfect first coding workshop for kids aged 9–12 in Caroline Springs. Your child designs and codes their own video game, brings characters to life, adds points and sound effects, and takes home a proud “I made that!” moment. No experience needed — just bring a laptop and we’ll guide them every step of the way.

Who it’s for

Designed for ages 9–12 years. Design, build and code your own arcade video game. No experience needed — beginners are fully supported and confident kids get extension challenges. Children work in pairs, so first-timers always have a hand to hold.

Bring your own device: a laptop is ideal, but a tablet is fine too, as long as it can connect to arcade.makecode.com and run the workshop activities. We’ll have power and Wi-Fi ready to go.
